Dr. Alan Glaros earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has been on the faculties of Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan), the University of Florida, the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Professor Glaros has been an active researcher since graduate school, and he first became interested in dental issues while completing his internship. An encounter with a patient suffering from bruxism was the impetus for his first successful application for support from the National Institute of Dental Research. Since then, he has published extensively, mostly in the area of TMJD. His CV lists over 200 papers, chapters, and books. He is currently a consultant with Renew Health, where he assists in the design and implementation of clinical studies for Cerezen.
