By now, we should be all aware of the prevalence of chronic pain. Astonishingly though, few people are aware of the central pathophysiology of why people develop chronic pain. Central Sensitization is one of the key processes in which chronic pain persists. The most common model of pain within Central Sensitization is CRPS or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. In this presentation, we will explore what is Chronic Pain, Central Sensitization, CRPS, and what treatment options are available for patients that present with Central Sensitization and CRPS.
