Background:
As of July 2022, CODA Dental Educational Program Standards 2-24k requires that at a minimum, dental graduates MUST be competent in providing oral health care for Temporomandibular Disorders.
Objectives:
- Explore the current status, needs, and challenges in implementing CODA Predoctoral Education Standard 2-24k
- Build a TMD Predoctoral Educator Network
Activities:
- Presenters from AAOP Predoctoral Education Committee will present the new CODA standard 2-24k and AAOP’s recommendations for developing a predoctoral TMD curriculum
- Selected presenters from different types of CODA dental programs will share their experiences in the development and implementation of predoctoral TMD curricula
- Q & A session with panel members from the AAOP Predoctoral Education Committee
