AAOP’s 50th Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting
April 20 – May 3, 2026 | Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP) invites members and non-members to submit abstracts for consideration at the 50th Annual Meeting. Abstracts may present a research project or a case report/case series and will be considered for either poster or oral presentation.

- Submission Deadline: January 23, 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: March 7, 2026
- Poster Session: Friday, May 1, 2026 | 5:15 PM
- Oral Presentations & Awards: Sunday, May 3, 2026 | 10:45 AM
General Information
- Abstracts must present original scientific material not previously published or presented.
- Each abstract will be reviewed for both presentation formats, but selected for only one (poster or oral).
- Presenting authors must register for the meeting and be present for their assigned session.
Poster Presentations
- Accepted presenters will submit:
- An electronic version of the poster
- A short video (≤3 minutes) summarizing the work
- Posters and videos will be displayed at the meeting and on the AAOP website.
- Two poster awards will be presented on Sunday, May 3, 2026:
- Best Research Study
- Best Case Report/Case Series
Oral Presentations
- Three abstracts will be selected for oral presentation.
- Presentations are 15 minutes, followed by Q&A for all three presenters.
- One award will be presented: Best Oral Presentation.
Abstract Guidelines
Word Count: 250 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations)
Language: English
Drug Names: Use generic names only
Incomplete abstracts (missing results/conclusions) will not be accepted.

Selection Criteria
Preference will be given to original clinical or basic research, including randomized controlled trials and observational studies. Case reports and case series will be accepted only if of high scientific or clinical value.
Notification
Presenting authors will be notified by March 7, 2026 regarding acceptance and provided with submission or presentation instructions.
