Current AAOP “Active” members are eligible to apply for “Fellow” membership status. The fellowship application window is October 15 – December 15.

Please ensure your membership is renewed for the year in which you will be recognized as a fellow, or join as an “Active” member, prior to submitting your application.

All required documents must be submitted below.

Required documents Include:
Certificate of Diplomate Status from the ABOP
Two letters from current AAOP fellows
Proof of active membership in the AAOP
Proof of Active Diplomate Status with ABOP

Only complete applications with all requirements fulfilled will be considered. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
Applicants will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by January 15. If you have not received a confirmation by that date, please contact membership@aaop.org to ensure your application has been received and is being processed.

The Fellowship Committee and Council will communicate their decision to all applicants via email by February 28, 2027.
